Founded in 1969, Construct is the leading nonprofit provider of affordable housing and supportive services to residents in sixteen towns across the southern Berkshires. Construct is committed to providing affordable housing to strengthen and diversify communities, stabilize lives, and empower individuals to build a better future.

Construct also offers rental and fuel assistance, microloans, and emergency motel stays to help individuals and families regain stability during times of crisis. Our grants and microloans support those whose income has been impacted by job loss, medical emergencies, or other financial hardships, providing essential aid to those in need of temporary support.

Construct’s Transitional Housing program promotes housing readiness with a total of 10 bedrooms reserved for men and women coming out of homelessness. Housing readiness includes increasing income, budgeting, referrals, and support for issues that led to housing instability.

Our service area includes the southern Berkshires region, including Lenox, Lee, Richmond, West Stockbridge, Stockbridge, Great Barrington, Housatonic, Sheffield, Ashley Falls, Monterey, New Marlboro and Mill River, Otis, Becket, Sandisfield, and Tyringham.
