Bring your binoculars (we have some to lend!) and thinking cap as we explore the vast wetlands\, stonewalls\, and cellar holes. 2 hours – 2.5 miles \nDirections: From Great Barrington\, take Route 23 east to Monterey. Just after the Monterey line\, bear right onto Route 57/183 into New Marlborough. Just before the Old Inn on the Green in New Marlborough\, turn left onto North Road; follow for 1.6 miles. Turn right at the steep\, inclining driveway marked “684”. Bear right into our gravel parking lot at the top of the little hill. The trails begin right at the trailhead parking; there is a kiosk just beyond the gate. Miller\, and with Darin E. Johnson\, founder and artistic director of American Theater for Puppetry Arts. On Saturday\, October 21\, a series of virtual talks and panel discussions will shed light on the many aspects of Sarg’s career—from his work as an illustrator and champion of the puppetry arts in America to his founding designs for Macy’s parade balloons and windows\, involvement with two World’s Fairs\, commercial whimsy and architectural projects\, and legendary Nantucket Sea Monster Hoax. Sarg’s artistic legacy will also be explored by contemporary artists and performers who have also made their mark by combining artistry and skill with showmanship\, canny innovation\, and a keen desire to engage with the public.

DESCRIPTION:Shakespeare & Company presents a sensory-friendly performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Saturday\, March 16 at 2 p.m.\, featuring the cast of the Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare. \nSensory-friendly performances have been adapted to be less overwhelming to the senses. They are designed to welcome individuals with various sensory needs\, including people on the autism spectrum\, those living with cognitive\, social\, or physical challenges\, first-time theatergoers\, and others. \nThis special performance is just one stop on an annual tour that sends productions of Shakespeare’s plays\, along with a variety of related workshops\, into middle and high schools\, colleges\, community centers\, and other venues from February through May. The Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare reaches more than 20\,000 students\, teachers\, and audience members each year\, and has been part of Shakespeare & Company’s repertoire since 1982.

DESCRIPTION:Shakespeare & Company presents a series of open–caption performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream\, featuring the Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare. \nOpen-captioned shows\, accessible to Deaf or hard-of-hearing audience members\, feature projection screens above and to the sides of the stage that display the actors’ lines via “supertitles.” These shows are family-friendly and patrons of all ages are welcome to attend. \nFour performances will be staged during public school’s April Vacation Week: \n– Wednesday\, April 17 at 2 pm \n– Thursday\, April 18 at 7 pm \n– Friday\, April 19 at 7 pm \n– Saturday\, April 20  at 2 pm\, including Shakespeare’s Birthday Bash \nThe Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare reaches more than 20\,000 students\, teachers\, and audience members each year\, and has been part of Shakespeare & Company’s repertoire since 1982.
