Judy Holliday, Broderick Crawford, and William Holden star in this classic comedy-drama from 1950 by George Cukor. The story follows wealthy junkyard tycoon Harry Brock’s (Crawford) travels to Washington to lobby Congress. Brock hires journalist Paul Verrall (Holden) to teach his girlfriend Billie Dawn (Holliday) D.C. etiquette, and his plans go awry. The film was nominated for five Oscars, with Holliday winning Best Actress. (PG, 1h 43min.)
