Assume Nothing: A Story of Intimate Violence with Tanya Selvaratnam

April 13, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

You are invited to join the Berkshire Domestic & Sexual Violence Task Force, Elizabeth Freeman Center and the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office for an evening with Tanya Selvaratnam.
Within 3 hours of its publication, her interview with The New Yorker in 2018 resulted in the resignation of Eric Schneiderman as New York State’s Attorney General. While publicly prosecuting Harvey Weinstein for sexually assaulting his employees, he was physically, sexually, and emotionally abusing his own partner at home. She wasn’t his first victim, but she hoped to be his last.
20 groups across the Berkshires have read and discussed her memoir, Assume Nothing: A Story of Intimate Violence, and now we will hear from her during a webinar where she will present and then participate in a Q&A.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Registration is required: https://tinyurl.com/yd5vatyx
Spanish and ASL interpretation will be provided.
